Very disappointing
Very disappointing. They used to be a good salon. I’ve realised that they use a strategy to get you to come back to the salon quickly these day’s. I’ve visited two separate salons and when the toner wore off after a few washes it was evident that:
1) highlights were done too far down
2) highlights were very patchy
3) highlights were very fine
4) highlights were more like a T-section when I paid for half a head.
The haircut a very simple style was just average.
Staff were treated poorly.
Appalling service
Appalling service! Arrived for my appointment, waited for 10 minutes watching staff walk back and forth in front of me didn't even bother to ask or offer any service I would like until I eventually had to ask what was happening. I was told who would be my hairdresser that's it. As I was waiting, a lady came over, threw a gown over without a word, and left! Two white women came in (I'm the only person of colour there), and they were seated and began their treatments within 5 minutes of course with a nice greeting. I was then told to wait another 15 minutes. I didn't know that my dresser had 2 clients to be served. After asking again to the lady who didn't even bother with my existence, my dresser eventually came to do my hair.
My experience at Rush was terrible, I can't help but feel that it was because I was the only non white customer there, as I overheard another customer say she hadn't got an appointment, but was still seen 5 minutes after arriving. I won't go back, and I can't recommend this place to anyone. My £187 is as good as anyone else's.
If the dresser had 2 clients already why the receptionist gave me to that dressers who have got 2 clients in waiting.
thiefs!
thiefs!!
I had an appointment today (30 May'2022) at Rush Bromley for hair colour from 11:45-13:30 and for Keratin blow-dry from 2:00 onwards. I called this morning around 10:30 that I am not feeling well and by any chance is it possible to reschedule. The lady on their reception said ok, it's cancelled and just hung up. In the meantime, I went online and rescheduled my appointment for 1 June, Wednesday at Rush Croydon (as I could see availability there).
Not even once, over the phone she mentioned a cancellation charge will be applied. At 11:36 I get an invoice of £50 charged , I call them again and they say it's mentioned in terms and conditions. If they would have mentioned this over the phone, I would have never cancelled it. I said I can still be there in 10 minutes, but she has refused to take me in and says she can't even take me for 2:00 PM Keratin now (but has charged me cancellation for that too), saying we have taken other bookings. She has hung up twice on me in this conversation and now saying my voice isn't clear, she can't hear me and I can talk to head office if I want to.
This is just not acceptable. I was a loyal customer at RUSH but this kind of attitude is making me never book with them ever again. So many times, Rush has made last minute changes to my appointments in past and i have always been accommodative.
The reception lady refused to return the charge and said I can complain to the head office if I want. Emailed multiple times on their customer, no acknowledgement of complain ever.

Worst experience ever- don’t go here
Worst experience ever. Ruined my hair. Poor practises, not trained staff and charge you with no apology. Rush Ealing was the worst experience of my life. Paid for a creative director only to have it worse than if I did it at home myself. Lucy manager is unempathetic and has no care about your experience/result.
Ready good reviews and trust me do not go here!
AVOID - don't go there!!!!
AVOID
I went to Wimbledon - worst haircut I have ever had. The two sides of my hair were cut totally differently. I raised it with the salon but they couldn't have cared less.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Rude Hannah - gives Rush a bad name
I have just had the most bizarre experience at Rush East Grinstead. I was booked in for tomorrow for a tint on roots to cover greys and then half head of blonde highlights (to match my ends) which is what I always have done at this salon. I had also booked my 10 year old daughter a wash, cut and blow dry at the same time - it was a treat as we're going to a concert tomorrow. I was asked to pop in this evening (Friday) to have a patch test (I have never had one at any previous visit to this salon so questioned it and was told by Hannah that Covid has made people allergic to hair dye). I saw Hannah. I said I was looking forward to getting my hair coloured as my greys were coming through and Hannah said 'you're not booked in for the roots to be done - I won't have time to do them, only the half head of highlights'. I said I had booked them, that was the main reason for having my hair done. She was very argumentative insisting that I hadn't booked my roots saying 'I heard you' which is ridiculous as I did book my roots. She then said that I had originally booked the appointment on line and my husband had cancelled it by mistake. I said "no, I booked the appointment by phone, I didn't book anything online, you must have me confused with someone else" and Hannah said sharply 'yes you did, I have proof'. She continued to argue not for one minute thinking that she may actually have made a mistake. She then asked me what I wanted to do and I said cancel as she was unable to do my roots. I was pretty shell shocked at her attitude, she was so rude and almost spiteful - it left me feeling that I wouldn't have trusted her near mine nor my daughter's hair anyway. Her passing comment was 'good luck with getting your hair done before the concert tomorrow'. It was extraordinary. Whatever I said she shut me down rudely, all done in front of customers and staff. Hannah, you are very much mistaken. You have clearly got me mixed up with someone else. You were extremely rude to me.

I was extremely disappointed that my mother's hair was not washed, only sprayed when I had booked a wash cut and blow dry for her, neither of us will be returning to any Rush salon in future.

Inept rude staff who stole my money without authorisation
I went to get my roots done at the Ealing branch. After the wash, both the hairdresser and I could clearly see that my hair wasnt'colored properly. However the reception told me I was just imagining grey hair and it was the sheen from the light. I don't understand how she could tell a blatant lie with a straight face. She then insisted I pay for it. When I refused the manager came in, was rude to me, and instead of apologizing, told me she would charge my card because she had my details and I had to pay for the service even though it hadn't worked. She then told me I was being impolite even though she was the one yelling at me. First you are inept and then you are rude and want to steal money for a service you didn't provide? Come on. This manager should really be fired
Scammed as didn't tell me conditioner was an extra £22
Lovely hair cut however the lady neglected to tell me as she was washing my hair that to have the fusio conditioner was going to be £22. She did not tell me that it was going to cost an additional charge. I then felt too embarrassed to say anything after the hair cut was done and she then mentioned it. Felt very scammed
The salon also has a fruit fly infestation as there were a lot of dead flies everywhere and flying around whilst getting my hair done.
Totally unwilling to help with complaint
I had a bad experience recently on my 3rd experience to Rush. I told the staff at the time i wasn't happy, as i did not get anything like what i had asked. I had shared multiple pics with the hairdresser and also explicitly explained what i did not want to he extra clear as it was my hen do the following day and about 10 weeks to my wedding. Once done i immediately saw it wasn't what i had asked and i said to the. Another lady tried to help fix it, it slightly improved for sure but at this stage i had been jn there for hours and the store was closed so i was feeling very uncomfortable keeping all of the staff around. I paid and left. Once home i submitted about my experience online via their customer complaints team explaining my situation and asking for help. They replied really quickly saying they were sorry, there was appointments free the following day to fix my hair but somebody from the Rush store i had visited would be in contact shortly to talk. This was 29th April. I have since emailed them back numerous times trying to get a response but nobody will reply to me. They charged me full price (175!) at the time and also charged me for the toner used to try fix the mistake of the hairdresser.
I fully appreciate misunderstandings, despite my many efforts to ensure there was none but what i wont accept is being ignored for months when im a paying customer who has been to rush at least 3 times for expensive services. My hair was ruined for my hen and now my wedding is weeks away and i have to find a hairdresser to fix it. Absolutely terrible service online, i didnt eve ask for a refund. I just want them to do my hair how I had asked. I simply shouldn't have paid but i felt terrine for the girls working there and was far too naive thinking i would be helped out afterwards.
Misleading prices
Hair dresser was professional and lovely and I really like my hair and hair cut. However it is not the first time when I am charged at much higher price than the price received in email once booked. When I book appointment, I select a particular hair dresser, price for cut and finish as the prices are lower/higher depends on the staff. Later they change the price at the salon, charging the higher price for colour/cut/ blow dry after my hair is done. I feel that is not fair and misleading cause the prices are different when you book online and much higher at the salon. P. S. I am not adding any extra service or changing anything I booked.

Instead of cut hairdresser did blow dry despite asking again and again
Asked the hairdresser to give me a cut and change my hair style but all she did was trimmed my hair and blow dry- I kept saying I want a style and volume give me more step cuts etc but no she just did what she wanted. Really disappointed, wasted my £52…

Horrible experience i had in rush windsor. I recommend no one goin there.they have training doing the hairs. And when they mess up. They hav rude manager defending there point. I explain her how exactly i wanted my hair done. Its while washing the colour. The person doing my hair asks me what colour u wanted. And i had colour mark all over my face .cuz she was colouring so recklessly.

The standards have really dropped at…
The standards have really dropped at the Balham branch. Awful set of stylists now. The salon is poorly run! Use to be so good here! After my stylist shereena left it all went bad. I use to love having our little jokes with her and the other stylist Melissa. Melissa did my blowdry once and she was also fantastic! Not sure if she still works there. Also got my hair done by Anna or Hannah can’t remember what her name was exactly but would never book with her again! It was apparent that all she cared about was money and kept just trying to sell me things I clearly didn’t want. Also was one of the worst cuts I’ve had. It’s a shame as it’s such a well known company! The reputation has gone really downhill. These salons always lose the good stylist. Would definitely not recommend
